About Speakers:

Dam Vu (KIENTRUC O), Vietnam

Dam Vu is the co-founder of KIENTRUC O, a renowned architectural firm in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Architecture by Dam Ve is well known for its holistic approach, which always takes the surrounding social, cultural, and environmental context into account. In addition to being aesthetically pleasing, he constantly aims to design areas that are sustainable and useful His work embodies o harmonious relationship that can stimulete coexistence between humans and the natural ecology. Dam Vu has produced a variety of stunning architectural works, including Bo Man Preschool, Chuan Chuan Kim 2 Kindergarten, ond VAS Office Building.

Hermawan Dasmanto, Indonesia

Hermowan Dasmonto's architectural practice focuses on everyday phenomena, user behavior, and material charocteristics. He explores the interplay between nature and culture, examining landscapes, urban environments, and heritage preservation. His work the involves educatione! initiatives, including exhibitions and workshops, Hermawan Dasmanto integrates noture, art, culture, and historical context Into each project, aiming to meet contemporary needs and Inspire future generations.

Shin Chang (MentahMatter Design), Malaysia

Shin Chang, co-founder and architect of MentahMatter Design and REXKL, graduated from the University of Melbourne and practiced with several Melbourne-based firms. In 2009, he returned to Kuala Lumpur and worked on residential and landscape projects with Unit One Design and Seksan Design. In 2013, Shin started his own practice with Penny Ng, focusing on simplicity, human scale, and community context. They launched Chocha Foodstore in 2016, transforming a derelict property into a unique dining space while preserving its historical elements. Shin later developed other notable projects like Botakliquor Bar, Joloko, and adaptive reuse buildings, including the Sungai Buloh Leprosy Museum ond REXKL.

Patchara Wongboonshin (POAR), Thailand

Patchara Wongboonsin, a Harvard Graduate School of

Design alumnus, co-founded Patchara + Ornnicho Architecture (POAR) in Thailand back in 2011. With extensive experience working with firms such as A49 and SOM, Patchara brings a wealth of expertise to the Thailand-based firm. Alongside co-founder Ornnicha Duriyaprapon, POAR focuses on using architecture as a medium between nature and culture. The firm has received occolades, including "Emerging Architecture Studio of the Year" by the Dezeen Awards Public Vote. POAR's projects, such as Na Tanao Hometel and And Anan Resort, emphasize preserving and translating the essence of nature and culture through design.
